Amy Hewett is a director + writer + artist based in Los Angeles from London, UK.
Her work is surreal, dark and funny with a focus on disorganized women (mostly lesbians).
She recently graduated from Calarts with a BFA in Character Animation where she produced her acclaimed short ‘Apocalypse Yasss: Two Girls One Rapture’, and her thesis film ‘How to Find Love in an Unbecoming Age’, which both premiered at the Academy Museum in the 2023 and 2024 Calarts Producers Show respectively.
Alongside making shorts she’s also made original work for Astudio Digital. Her interests lie in development for animated television and feature as well as freelance animation, directing, and writing.
